Disc B-14.  Buckbrush Reel
© music by Annie Wilson 2014

Album Note:  This instrumental in 4/4 Irish reel time would
be a lively tune at our contra dances in Cottonwood Falls
with the Flint Hills Victorian Dance Society.

It is named after a tenacious little woody shrub common in
Flint Hills pastures.  Ranchers try to limit its presence
through fire, but it often manages to survive.
Symphoricarpos orbiculatus is also called coralberry or
Indian Currant and is a flowering plant from the
honeysuckle family.
