        This "Songs of the Flint Hills" Vol. 4 (2020) takes listeners to the peaceful prairie landscape at sunset, and shares stories celebrating the native Osage Nation, rodeo trick rider Margie Roberts, a heroic steer of the Chisolm Trail, the prairie music of coyotes, early day romance and old-time dances, a cowgirl’s regret, and modern ranchers’ struggles against invasive species. All are original songs by singer-songwriter-rancher Annie Wilson, Kansas’s official “Flint Hills Balladeer,” enhanced by the rich vocal harmonies and skilled instrumentation of Carl Reed, Derrick Doty and Brent Entz on fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass and harmonica.
